Disclaimer
Please read this page before using any calculator or guide on Invest Know. It explains what this site is, and just as importantly, what it is not.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. Educational Purpose Only
All content on Invest Know — including every calculator, guide, article, chart, and FAQ answer — is created for general educational and informational purposes. It is intended to help you understand how a financial product, scheme, or calculation works, not to tell you what to personally do with your money. Nothing on this site should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any specific investment, insurance policy, or financial product.
2. Not Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
Invest Know is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a stockbroker, a bank, an insurance company or broker, a chartered accountant's practice, or a law firm. We do not know your income, your goals, your risk tolerance, your existing portfolio, or your family situation, and we do not provide advice tailored to it. Before making any investment, insurance, tax, or legal decision, please consult a qualified, licensed professional — a SEBI-registered investment adviser for investments, a chartered accountant for tax matters, a licensed insurance advisor for insurance, and a qualified lawyer for legal questions.
3. Accuracy of Calculators and Content
We build every calculator around the real, official rule behind a financial product, and we verify formulas against independent reference figures before publishing. Even so, every number a calculator produces is an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the rates or rules in effect at the time you use it — not a guaranteed or audited outcome. Interest rates on schemes like PPF, SSY, and KVP are reset quarterly by the Ministry of Finance; income tax slabs change with the Union Budget; pension rules such as NPS and the Unified Pension Scheme have been revised meaningfully in 2024-2026. We work to keep every calculator current, but we cannot guarantee that a figure reflects the very latest rule at every moment. Always cross-check important figures with the official source — your bank, India Post, the relevant regulator's website, or the Income Tax Department — before acting on them.
4. Market Risk and Investment Performance
Any calculator or guide on this site that discusses SIPs, mutual funds, stocks, gold, or Bitcoin uses historical data, assumed rates of return, or illustrative scenarios to help you understand a concept — none of these figures are a promise of future performance. Past returns, including the historical backtests shown in our India Investment Time Machine and Gold vs Inflation Hedge Calculator, are not indicative of future results. Market-linked investments can lose value, and cryptocurrency in particular carries substantially higher risk and regulatory uncertainty in India than traditional instruments; treat any Bitcoin-related figures on this site with particular caution.
5. Third-Party Names, Brands, and Comparisons
Where we name a specific bank, broker, mutual fund house, insurer, or government scheme — for example, comparing brokerage across Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, and Angel One, or calculating an SBI-style Annuity Deposit Scheme — we do so solely to identify or compare real, publicly documented products so our calculators are useful and specific rather than generic. This does not imply that Invest Know is affiliated with, sponsored by, partnered with, or endorsed by any bank, broker, insurer, or company named on this site, unless we explicitly state otherwise. All trademarks, logos, and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Which Regulator Governs What
Invest Know references rules and rates published by several Indian regulatory and government bodies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of them — we simply research and cite their publicly available rules.

|---|---|
| RBI (Reserve Bank of India) | Bank deposits, the Annuity Deposit Scheme |

7. No Data Storage, No Guarantee of Availability
Every calculation on Invest Know runs inside your own browser; we do not receive, store, or process the numbers you enter. Because of this, we also cannot recover a calculation for you if you close your browser tab, and we accept no liability for any loss of data you may have intended to save yourself (use the PDF, TXT, or CSV export options where available to keep a copy). We also make no guarantee that any calculator or the site itself will be available at all times, free of interruptions, or free of every possible technical error, though we test each calculator across desktop, tablet, and mobile before publishing.
8. External Links
Some of our guides link to external websites, such as official regulator pages, for further reading or verification. We do not control these external sites, and linking to them does not imply our endorsement of their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Please review any external site's own terms and privacy policy before relying on it.
9. Hindi Content
We publish several calculators in both English and Hindi, and we aim for the Hindi versions to accurately reflect the English original in both content and calculation logic. If you notice any difference in meaning, figures, or functionality between the two, please treat the English version as authoritative and let us know through our Contact Us page so we can correct the discrepancy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Invest Know, its team, and its contributors will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, its calculators, or its content — including financial loss resulting from a decision made using information found here. You use every calculator and guide on this site at your own discretion and risk.
11. Errors and Corrections
We check every calculator against official sources before publishing and revisit them whenever a rate or rule changes, but mistakes are possible in any large body of content. If you find a figure, rule, or statement on this site that you believe is incorrect or out of date, please tell us through our Contact Us page with the specific calculator and figure in question — we investigate every report and correct the live page when it's warranted.
12. Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer from time to time as our calculators, the regulatory landscape, or our own practices evolve. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Invest Know after an update means you accept the disclaimer as revised. For our full terms of use and how we handle your data, see our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
